Diego Andrade is a Mechanical Engineer with core technical expertise in computational geometry and numerical analysis. While working either for the industry or academic endeavors his skills have been applied to mathematical modeling, software development, and fluid and plasma simulation.He graduated with a doctorate from Carnegie Mellon University in 2017 while working fulltime for SIEMENS A.G. and later for Pennsylvania Breaker LLC. He was involved in the production and design of dead tank circuit breakers in 245kV, 145kV, and 72kV lines. His main objectives were to help in the mechanical design of interrupters and driving mechanisms, as well as testing and support to the production side of the company.He formed part of the CERLAB at Carnegie Mellon University creating computational tools that connect Autodesk Inventor for the use of customized patterning for aesthetic design and computer vision.He worked as an adjunct professor at the University of South Florida as well as a consultant for different projects related to Machine Learning for radiology therapy applications and others industries.He has worked as a consultant for ANT Automation and Nicolalde R&D on grants for the National Institute of Health (NIH), NASA and the Department of Defense. At the moment he is working on Advance Air Mobility, Serious Gaming and Extended Reality.
