Use of software tools like rolling mathematical models, strain strength alloy curves definition, Level 2 configuration, TIA portal and IBA process data acquisition.

I involved in Foundries department at Fornaci di Barga plant (Lucca) in a difficult period for the company, facing many challenges like costs optimization, investment & maintenance project management, motivating and monitoring internal & external resources and managing conflicting requirements.Successes included implementing 40+ projects under tight time requirements and cooperate to reduce department production costs by 10% in a 2,5 years period.

I joined Fornaci di Barga plant 4 years ago, where I have enjoyed the oportunity of explore the diverse approaches to similar industrial problems in different cultures.For almost all the period I was accountable for installation and commissioning of a new casting line to improve KME products range. The project was defined, planned, controlled and completed with a tight schedule...but very satisfying to see the results.

I have lead a team of 15 technicians and 3 engineers.Within this period we have developed and implemented plant's Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Program on CMMS software. I decided to join KME at Córdoba plant as an opportunity to enhance my knowledge in control, instrumentation and electronics. I have lead a team of 5 new electrical technicians 2 engineers.I have cooperated in maintaining equipment in this 20.000+ tons/y plant with electric and gas furnaces, preheating, hot and cold rolling, milling, annealing and slitting lines including: - From multi-CPU and remote I/O network system PLCs automation to relays, cam timers and drum sequencers. - HMI Displays, recorders and SCADAS - DC drives and frequency convertersHard at the beginning but lotsa lessons learned!We had time to go Lean as well: collaborated to organize a 5S and a SMED Six-Sigma Kaizen that reduced by 25% hot milling rolls changing time and developed a DMAIC project to control casted slab length that reduced production costs by 0,5%
