This commitment to fostering positive change has been a cornerstone of my life since 2002 when I embarked on entrepreneurship. I have 25 years of experience in franchising, 10 of those in the fitness franchising arena in the US.----Since 2002, I founded, co-founded, acquired, or invested in a dozen companies in Brazil and the US in different industries, such as IT, consumer goods, aircraft resale, and fitness franchising. I was either an executive, a board member, or angel investor.The first six years were a great experience in the IT industry. I learned how to be an entrepreneur with several partners, managing different businesses, raising money, and divesting in different ways, only sometimes the expected ones.In 2008, I founded Dialogo Strategic Advisory. As its CEO and Senior Consultant, I built a unique management consulting company for business owners. With offices in São Paulo (Brazil) and Miami (US), our skills cover strategy, leadership, management, M&A, and governance. From 2008 to 2021, I managed my consulting company while participating in different roles within the business I invested in.By 2015, I also became the General Manager of OrangeTheory (OTF) boutique fitness studios in Florida (an Area Developer from Tampa to Naples), which we grew till we successfully divested by 12/2019.At the beginning of 2020, I started looking for a new fitness concept, which I couldn't find anywhere - everything I researched looked like a new version of an OTF. So I founded "INFINITY, beyond fitness" - a transformative combination of workouts, pre & post-exercise recovery treatments, nutrition guidance, and community support.

Strategic AdvisorMaple Bear Usa Oct 2020 - Dec 2021I was hired on 10/2020, as a consultant, by Maple Bear Global Schools' (MBGS) COO at that time (later its CEO) to review their expansion plan and provide business insights for a soft-landing in the USA; looking forward to an aggressive franchise expansion, to be started by the end of 2021.MBGS is a Canadian-based company, with over 550 franchised schools in 30 countries. They had only 3 corporate owned and operated schools in the USA. They were developed to test, adjust and validate their business proposition in the USA. But they intend to have over 200 franchised school in the USA by the end of 2024.The consulting project had 3 phases: (i) 6 months, from 10/2020 to 03/2021, for business strategy review and business plan proposition; (ii) 6 months, from 04/2021 to 09/2021 to implement the business plan and get a new version of the FDD in place; and (iii) 3 months, from 10/2021 to 12/2021 to help build a franchisor structure in the USA.Phase I was over as planned, and the proposed business plan was approved by MBGS Board by the end of 03/2021.Phase II was completed, also as planned, by 09/2021 when we officially launched Maple Bear USA at the IFE Franchise Trade Show - IFA (International Franchise Association) main event in New York.Phase III ended by 12/2021, and MBGS has a franchisor minimum structure in the USA that is able not only to generate franchise sales, but to implement its franchise operations. The foundations were built, and they are ready to grow. -

Co-FounderLearnnets - Social Learning Networks Sep 2017 - Dec 2019LearnNets was an USA-based EdTech company, with operations in Miami, Cape Town, Zurich, and Sao Paulo. Our cause was to revolutionize online learning engagement!Since 01/2016 we have being developing the concept of an educational platform and methodology, which allows us to create Social Learning Networks (SLNs).Inspired by Facebook®'s social network and Netflix®'s video platform features, we combined and integrated both concepts in order to build a revolutionary process and platform, which could be used as both an endomarketing and educational tool.We are able to provide, on a global scale, an innovative learning process to promote online learning engagement to a total new level.Our business proposition was too innovative and a little ahead of the time. This made the sales process became too long. It was a time and capital consuming sales cycle.Investors, my partners and I decided to close the business by 12/2019, after deciding another round of investments was not the right path. We kind of regret the decision, as Covid hit the world hard by 03/2020 and on-line endomarketing and educational platforms exploded. But I learned we cannot always time the market.It was a good learning process from the learning business!

Area Developer General ManagerOrangetheory Fitness Jan 2015 - Dec 2019Boca Raton, Fl, UsTampa Fitness Partners (TFP) was one of the first OrangeTheory Fitness (OTF) area developers in the USA, operating corporate-owned fitness studios and managing franchisee ones on the Golf Coast of Florida, from North Tampa to Naples.OTF became the biggest success of what later on was called the "boutique fitness studios fever", with over 1,500 studios sold all over the USA and more overseas.I was hired by Edgard Corona, TFP's Founder, as a consultant, to review TFP's business during the last quarter of 2014. After a 90-day in-deep review, by late 12/2014, I presented the results of the project with a comprehensive list of changes and improvements to be executed in the business.Mr. Corona asked me to became TFP's General Manager, starting 01/2015, to implement my consulting project's suggestions. My role was: to put into action the strategy I outlined and that was approved by Mr. Corona; build an executive team to support the planned growth; and look for an appropriate window to divest the business.As an OTF area developer, there are limits to the expansion you can have, as there is a certain number of boutique fitness studios our geographical area could have. We were aware we would have two options when the area mature: (1) look for another area to develop -- not good ones available by 2015, as OTF was a raising star fitness brand at that time; or (2) sell the business close to its profitability maturity.Since I was hired, we grew the business, looking forward for revenue growth, but always keeping our main focus on increasing the business profitability. We also kept high governance standards. This is a validated M&A success receipt.Under my 5-year management, TFP's Gross Sales grew 56%, EBITDA grew 86%, and royalties collected from our area franchisees grew 54%. EBITDA margin rose from 24% in 2015 to 29% in 2019.We successfully divested TFP by 12/2019 to one of the private equity groups consolidating the OrangeTheory system. -

We faced 2 big challenges: (1) getting the companies ready to report in US GAAP and/or IFRS; and (2) skepticism from US investors, as at that time lots of small-mid Chinese companies whom raised capital we're under investigation by the SEC for fraud and misrepresentation. We decided to quit the project as it was going nowhere. But I was able to incorporate into Dialogo (my consulting company) the knowledge about several different funding vehicles to fund companies in the US and usd it on some of my client projects in the USA later on.
