Traineeship activities were strictly connected to my Master of Science Degree’s thesis work. The main activities consisted of Simulink DSP modelling and C-language programming for 32bit microcontrollers. I worked within an engineers’ team responsible for embedding a sensored motor control algorithm within a ST 32bit microcontroller (Pictus 512K SPC560P50L5). After designing DSP processing through Simulink tools, the algorithm was translated in C language and embedded onto the microcontroller by realizing an ad-hoc firmware through Green Hills Software IDE and tested real-time through Lauterbach Trace 32 debugging tool.
