As the Director of Policy & Government Affairs at PFLAG, the nation's first and largest family and ally organization with LGBTQ+ people, I drive federal policy and legislation that advance equality and justice for our community and loved ones.As a former Senior Policy Advisor to Congressman Barney Frank, one of the most influential LGBTQ+ lawmakers in history, I contributed to landmark legislation such as the Matthew Shepard/James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act, the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell, the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, The Corey Shea Act, and the Affordable Care Act. I also bring a wealth of strategic communications, media relations, and coalition-building skills, as an Accredited in Public Relations (APR) professional and a founding board member of the National Center for Transgender Equality. I am proud to work with PFLAG's 400 chapters and 250,000 supporters across the country, with other organizations and stakeholders, to create a more inclusive and supportive society for LGBTQ+ people and their families.
