Going on a bicycle tour was for many years a dream of mine, and last year I finally decided to take my bicycle and travel around Europe. The main goal was to combine my childhood dream while at the same time connecting with initiatives related to circular economy and projects that aim to improve the quality life of people in our communities.

Women prosper is an initiative of Barefoot College International to build a network of women engineers and entrepreneurs trained in technology, marketing, technical repair and empowered with the essential holistic skills that women need to achieve long-term financial viability. We will leverage our core competence in solar energy to produce innovative, time saving solar solutions for rural households. • Developed a process to understand the needs of communities in India to design Low-Cost Products and services • Designed innovative services and products to create a positive impact for people in the communities• Identified the optimal infrastructure needed for the execution of the project• Coordinate with R&D to pilot the products and services• Developed a prototype to be tested in an isolated community in Nepal

Developed creative business models to increase financial flexibility and open new sources of income. Focused to identify new business opportunities that can demonstrate to all relevant stakeholders and decision-makers the advantages of the business models proposed. In this project, I was in charge of the following activities: • Led market research to identify the needs of 26 potential new customers• Analysed successful business models implemented by other NGOs • Developed a criteria assessment tool to evaluate the different business ideas and identified the feasibility of their implementation

• Headed commercial and contract negotiations with key strategic suppliers• Implemented sourcing strategies in order to achieve the maximum profit contribution to the project targets• Designed 3 initiatives that drove ongoing improvements in the capacity, efficiency and effectiveness of the overall supply chain• Researched and developed supply chain strategies to optimize in 20% operations and transportation cost • Reported supply chain management key performance indicators to the division headquarter in Germany

• Prepared, presented, and published monthly relevant purchasing and financial analysis and reports to Siemens management board • Led Procurement and Supply Chain team of switchboards factory to expand electricity grid to rural areas in Colombia• Negotiated contracts for a total of 12 million EUR with several vendors worldwide, achieving savings of 4.5% • Developed and implemented annual purchasing strategies of the division• Researched and analysed international markets for cost reduction and value chain optimization. For example: market research of Asian market suppliers• Developed innovative products that can optimize the cost of our equipment’s, as part of a cross-functional team• Coordinated a cost optimization benchmarking team of which the members were from Siemens factories worldwide• Headed the regional negotiation strategy for commodities, like fasteners and screws

• Headed commercial and contract negotiations with external partners, worth 18 million EUR• Negotiated contracts which resulted in 1.2 million EUR savings and 15% supply chain management optimization • Headed a 5 member supply chain for an infrastructure project in Peru

• Negotiated and purchased railway equipment and services for a total volume of 5 million EUR• Analysed strategically supply chain and identified improvement opportunities which resulted in a cost reduction of 20%
