Along with co-founder Candace Kattar and the Identity team, we envision a just and equitable society that nurtures all youth and is enriched by their contributions. Developed and implemented educational, risk-prevention, and social service programs targeting the Latino community; Designed, implemented, and supervised ongoing Positive Youth Development programs targeting Latino youth and their parents. Principal Investigator on two SAMHSA-funded needs assessment projects which gathered community input for the development of culturally, developmentally, and linguistically appropriate after-school programs for Latino middle and high-school age youth in Montgomery County. Worked with independent evaluators to develop curriculum modules and evaluation instruments.

Developed, implemented, and supervised the overall functioning of the substance abuse prevention program targeting the general Latino population. Designed and wrote proposals. Built coalitions with other Latino community-based organizations in order to maximize efforts and resources. Supervised outreach workers and substance abuse counselors. Developed and implemented the first on-site substance abuse treatment program targeting Latino inmates in the District of Columbia. Developed, implemented, and supervised HIV prevention programs targeting the Latino community living with or at risk for HIV/AIDS. Provided individual, group, and family therapy, as well as crisis intervention and psycho-social evaluations to Latino clients and their families.
