Executive Director - Youth Cohort Study
The Utrecht YOUth cohort is a large scale, longitudinal cohort following Dutch children in their development from pregnancy until early adulthood. YOUth focuses on neurocognitive development involved in two core characteristics of behavioural development: social competence and behavioural control. As Executive Director I am responsible for operational management of the study, including the large team of support staff, budget, and planning and strategy for the future of YOUth, e.g. concerning (governance of) FAIR-data/open science.Co-initiator of #kletsbaar - A citizen science project about mental health that was designed for and performed at Lowlands Science 2022. #kletsbaar combines science with outreach: we both experimentally investigate stigma and prejudice surrounding mental health problems, and - through our study design and the ColourCross/het Kleurenkruis, an inflatable art installation - create public awareness about the effects of stigma and prejudice. #kletsbaar was also present at Betweterfestival 2022 and Weekend van de Wetenschap 2022.
