I help organizations deliver products rapidly and efficiently, across multiple teams, and geographies. I specialize in highly scalable and reliable services - mainly in the FinTech, Payments, and Crypto sectors, but also in Networking and Telco (yes, that is a strange mix!). I’m currently the CTO at BKN301 - a Banking-as-a-Service platform focusing on rapidly growing markets. Before that, I led Klar to be one of Mexico's leading digital banks, led BlockFi from seed-stage to the fastest FinTech to reach a valuation of $4B. I also took Factom from a market-cap of $10M to over $500M.I have the - dubious - honor of being involved in creating the first web/e-commerce system, the first java based financial services platform, as well as the first erlang-based cloud PBX, three products I may never live down.I've been a prolific public speaker over the years, speaking and hosting at conferences such as ClueCon, CodeMesh, Erlang Factory, ITEXPO, NoSQL Matters, OSCON, TechMesh, TopConf, and USENIX.I was previously the V.P. of R&D (and Managing Director) at Ubiquiti Networks, a global provider of network and video hardware for service providers and enterprises, and the CTO of Vocalocity - one of the leading providers of mission-critical, cloud-based communication services for small businesses. Prior to that, I was the V.P. of Development at Neoglyphics where I started the use of Java in FinTech, and the CTO of Proxicom where I led the Technology practice.I have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and a Masters in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
