Caregiver (2012-2020, Current) After retirement from the engineering industry I provided full time care-giving to George and Karin Upton (Parents). Both had developed disabilities. Currently taking care of George Upton only. Duties: cooking, cleaning, bathing, shopping, medications and transportation. I have flexibility for other part-time employment. JR Engineering (1992-2012) Served as President and Chief Executive Officer of JR Engineering. This company provides consulting services for the AEC industry. With branch offices throughout Colorado, JR Engineering provides civil engineering, surveying, and construction related consulting services. Prior to election by the Board of Directors to CEO, I served as the General Manager of JR Engineering. The responsibilities of this role included setting the business strategy and providing oversight to four operational offices located in Ft. Collins, Thornton, Denver, and Colorado Springs, Colorado. I began my JR career in 1992 as Director of Land Development, followed by Director of Operations of the Denver office, and then a move into a corporate multi-office role as Director of Business Development. In the role as Director of Business Development, my duties involved oversight of all aspects of growth and opportunity for JR Engineering. I reported directly to the CEO and his primary business development objective was to establish JR Engineering as a Multi-Discipline consulting engineering company. Today, JR Engineering not only provides Surveying and Land Development Civil Engineering design, but also Structural Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Transportation Engineering, and Construction Management. Other (1984-1992) Prior to joining JR Engineering, I worked as Surveyor, Project Engineer and Project Manager for a top ten Denver area engineering company. Also worked for a Colorado renowned Water Rights engineering company as Water Rights Engineer. for three years. I then established my own Civil Engineering Company specializing in Land Development and Water Resources. This firm was acquired by JR Engineering in the summer of 1992.
