Argentina

Developed both backend and frontend of an airbnb-like application. It was a complex three part app with a marketing site, a customer portal and an admin portal. The latter two were particularly challenging since they included in-app payments, in-app messaging integrated with mailing and SMS services, management of leasing, room registering and complex building schemas uploads.In this role I also was responsible for plenty of decisions made, such as researching and deciding on technologies to be used. Also coming up with creative solutions to complex issues, mentoring and onboarding 3 team members, holding meetings with the client and their own devs who also were part of the process, and making design decisions to allow for an effective and on-time development process on a high stakes high pressure environment.In the backend my main task was to develop cloud functions in a microservice-like architecture while also creating and designing the tables necessary in the database.

My main task in this role was to deliver new features and bug fixes swiftly and effectively in a wide variety of projects. During this period I got to work in around 6 different projects. Most of these projects were already well into production stages and required carefully developed features and fixes. The most interesting one was an appointment management site that was being used by a nutritional health center. The main challenge in this project was not only working on the complex and large legacy codebase, but also the integration between Google Calendar's API and the project's own DB and functions regarding appointments being set or removed.In this role I also had the chance to work on a mobile app with Ionic Framework.

I was the only hands-on backend developer of one of the first AI powered telephonic chatbots in the region. This was a fantastic opportunity to work with another 3 teams who took part in the process providing different APIs to complete the requirements of the project.The main challenge was to develop an innovative product for which there wasn't many references or known information on the issues we would run into. We all had to research and learn during the process, while keeping the product up to standards and on schedule. Also this meant having plenty of meetings and information exchanges with non-technical teams.The main tools I worked with were Google Dialogflow integrated with a NodeJS webhook that handled all functionality. I also worked at the same time on some small internal tools with React. Also I had the chance to introduce some unit testing into the projects which didn't have any testing.

I developed both backend and frontend of a mobile restaurant guide app. My main tasks had to do with integration of Google Maps, developing a comment + rating functionality, management of firebase services including security rules, development of cloud functions, auth, and development of an admin backoffice app for stats and user management.
