We have a huge backround of top of field experience and skills, and have links with allied similar top of field consultants, enabling a total service from people at the pinnacle of their field but without the high overheads of a large consultancy. We can provide, planning, financial, development, architectural, urban design, energy & ecology, landscape, traffic, valuation, construction, value engineering, cost in use, quantity surveying, building surveying, benchmarking, funding and many other services.

I was one of the grassroots panel of people whom were invited to help set up Wren Academy, a Christian ethos academy with design and the built environment as its specialism. We have all achieved so much and have an excellent team, and an amazing growing body of students who all seem to be embracing the spirit of learning with gusto. We were proud to have achieved an "outstanding" in our first full Ofsted inspection. It was with a heavy heart that I left this role after 10 years, but believe it was time to step aside, and to offer my services as an ad-hoc consultant.

Passionate about people, passionate about the environment.Arc7 design was set up by me in 2003 and became a very successful architectural / landscape and design practice having client and user needs as a focus. I invited Nathan Wilkinson and Richard Hazell to join me in this, and together we brought a freshness to development in and around London making sure that people were never left out in the process but determined that every project should have a pragmatic base. Arc7 was set up as an anti-dote to the more commercial money driven approaches offered in those boom days.The idea was to then hand it on to the next generation after it achieved middle maturity so that I could pursue my passion for individual and community transformation, educational energisation and learning for all abilities as well as continue with my constant desire to write. This became modified as Nathan had in 2007 decided to relocate to his native Yorkshire and so for now the next chapters of this story are blank ... but arc7 developments was born in 2011 and has been structured to carry on all the excellent working practices and theories we have developed to a much wider network and also to adapt for today's social networked world and keener financial and environmental concerns.

Effectively this role saw me acting as the CEO of this large North London church. The role was a new one and was instigated following a management consultant report. I took this on as a part time consultancy, although it certainly did have full time requirements and issues. I quickly saw that the organisation was vision and mission lead and had no proper systems in place for any of its key administration or budgeting, I put into place state of the art systems which could be simply and effectively run, and then sought to make the strategic missional approach to be the core issues around which to construct a financial and ordered system flexible enough to help deliver the aims without too much of a "white knuckle ride" but also to ensure the energy of the vision and the excitement driving it. The aim here was to use the targets of the existing leadership and enhance this whilst steering the organisation on a stable roadmap to deliver its goals. After a 5 year term I had set up a range of systems and financial and organisational structure such that they could seek a more traditional administrator to work alongside the visionary team. It was an exciting journey and I enabled the leadership to be more visionary, more secure in their roles and used my creativity and passion to push the organisation further than would otherwise have been possible, .

During my tenure of this voluntary role, I immediately saw that the professional education system was outdated and irrelevant to the needs of the profession and individual, Having sent a paper on this to Education Committee, I became charged with reshaping it. This lead to a working party focused on my vision of a a literal lifelong self assessment learning system. Together with Sue Illman, Paul Barratt and Suzanne Beard we then went on to design, plan and implement the present unique and unrivalled Pathway to Chartership.It was an exciting and radical change and has lead to a more fluid and professionally relevant system of professional qualification and leaves scope to be developed further to assist all environmental professionals in continuing their own learning and development.

Managing an architects and landscape architects practice specialising in speculative residential development. Client base included national and international companies, developers and design and build companies.Responsible for managing company resources, infrastructure and client relationships, ensuring the smooth running of all project teams and projects, and in particular overall control of large and complex projects as well as client liaison for specific client accounts. Responsible for creation of ISO 9000 QMS system, IT system and the formulation of specific core project teams, to analyse and develop optimum solutions.

Working as Team Leader on large projects, and overall client liaison for smaller projects.

Responsible for the project management and contract administration of the first estate transfer scheme in the UK (£29M). Was responsible for the concept design and delivery of production package for a Hospice which later received a Commendation in the Civic Trust Awards (1997).

Responsibilities included surveying, analysing and redesigning of existing buildings, preparing planning applications. Producing client presentation and working drawings, specifications and the preparation and administration of construction contracts.

Projects included reordering of a grade II* listed church, new parsonage within the grounds of the same church, substantial fast track conversion of large former merchant houses to flats, dwellings specifically adapted for persons with special needs, a hostel for persons recovering from mental illness, extensive pioneering work on accommodation for young autistic adults, including independent living units and a substantial research paper into day care and residential care. Key features of most projects were substantial participation in the design by end users and funders.

Responsible for the production, of sketch design and production information, including specifications and drawings. Other duties included the compilation of presentation drawings client and planning authority.

Working with Project Architects on the production of concept drawings and later detailed drawings and specification for a range of school and education projects.
