David Abrahams is currently the Director of Combined Coast News and Managing Editor at Central Coast Newspapers based in Gosford on the NSW Central Coast. Building on a history of digital and media innovation since the inception of the world wide web in 1991. He has been co-founder of over a dozen startup companies and ran a digital research and development company for a decade. David has been an experienced board director across private, not for profit, industry and Government advisory and agency boards; including NSW Telecommunications Authority the Federal Broadband Advisory Board, Regional Development Australia CC and NSW, Youth Connections, Australian Computer Society and AIIA and Norwegian Computer Society.Mr Abrahams has consulted for some of the country's largest investment funds in the areas of digital and telecommunications investments.For 15 years David was one of the longest standing ABC radio’s technology correspondents, bringing hundreds of programs from across the country and across the world to the ears of Australian listeners.He holds degrees from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and maintains a strong connection to Scandinavia through family, culture and business. David is a keen surf lifesaver and a lover of poetry, opera and classical music.
