As part of the corporate team I performed various end of month tasks. I was also a key member in preparation of the full year and half year statutory accounts. Tasks included: Balance sheet recs, assisted in preparation of general purpose financial statements, Special purpose financial statements, compiling investor relations data, position papers, technical accounting summaries.

Graduate accountant partaking in a two year graduate rotation program. The goal of the rotation was to develop a strong business base. The rotation consisted of four six month rotations (Financial Reporting, Tax and treasury, Corporate Finance and Management Accounting).- Rotation 1. Financial reporting: Main responsibilities were: balance sheet reconciliations, end of month preparations, intercompany processes including AP and AR processing, maintenance of the fixed asset register and ad hoc queries and tasks. -Rotation 2. Tax and treasury: Main responsibilities were: consolidation of group 8 week cash flow forecasting model, preparing investor relations reports, assisting in preparation of FBT returns, tax effect accounting for various entries across the group and researching country specific compliance matters as well as mobility rules.- Rotation 3. Corporate finance: Main responsibilities were: drafting group policies, building reporting packs as well as supporting subsidiaries in their use for year-end purposes, preparing notes for the financial statements and providing auditors with support as well as consolidation of group accounts.- Rotation 4. Management Accounting: Main responsibilities were: preparing weekly reports on the key performance indicators of the business, assisting in the quarterly forecasting process and also preparing month end reports and commentary thereon.
