After approximately 6 years of preparation (since idea set up in 2016), the Sport, Exercise and Meeting Facility in Epe was opened on the 22-th of April 2023.Opening SOFAfter years of preparation and construction that started in january 2023, the steering committee's dream has become reality. The Sport, Exercise and Meeting Facility in Epe is a fact. On saterday the 22-th of April the SOF was officially opened by alderman Maarten Heere and Jolanda van Loon, director at housing foundation Triada. As of today, everyone: young, old, with or without a disability, athlete or no athlete can go there to get moving.What does SOF stand for?SOF is publicly accessible to everyone. There is no entrance fee. The SOF was built in the middle of the Hoge Weerd district with a lot o social hiring houses, in line with playground association DEMILAHO (few meter to the south). This has created a facility for all ages. The SOF consists of several parts. You can think of a playground, a multifunctional sports court, boot camp, calisthenics, different seating areas, a pétanque court and an insect hotel and other biodiversity and nature inclusivity initiatives. The municipality and Triada are enthusiastic”It is a place where meeting, fun, sport and exercise are central. A place that fits in with the vision and ambition of the municipality of Epe: With the SOF, our residents, young and old and with or without disabilities, are tempted to come together and exercise, exercise and have fun together. Dutch:Vanaf maart 2024 draai ik mee in het rooster van organisten van de Vrije Evangelische Gemeente te Heerde. Tot mijn 14-de levensjaar orgelles gehad van Arnold Feddema uit Damwoude en daarna gestopt. In 2011 dit weer opgepakt. Sindsdien heb ik 1 keer in de 2 weken les in de "Goede Herderkerk" in Epe.ENG:From March 2024, I am part of the scheduling group of organists of the “ Vrije Evangelische Gemeente” in Heerde. I had organ lessons from Arnold Feddema from Damwoude/Friesland until I was 14 and then stopped. This was picked up again in 2011. Since then I have had lessons once in the 2 weeks in the "Goede Herderkerk" in Epe.
