CurrentManage domestic and international patent and trademark portfolios for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to startup technology companies. Direct strategic and tactical support as well as day-to-day operations of the IP Group.Prepare and file domestic and foreign patent applications (including PCT and Hague designs), handle all prosecution aspects including preparing and filing Preliminary Amendments, Office Action responses, USPTO forms, petitions, and assist attorneys in oppositions, appeals and infringement proceedings.Assist inventors and in-house counsel with preparation and submission of invention disclosures and patentability research. Assist clients in establishing internal patent programs and develop patent strategy. Conduct patent ownership and competitive searches using a variety of online databases (USPTO, WIPO, Espacenet, Google Patents, etc.). Assist attorneys in the process of research, mining, and evaluation of IP for clients. Collaborate with foreign agents on all aspects of patent-related matters and provide guidance and support to foreign clients.Develop and maintain guidelines, policies and procedures for the Firm and clients. Recommend and implement new initiatives, provide patent-related training sessions to legal professionals on a regular basis. Ensure teams work according to all legal requirements and regulations, both domestic and worldwide. Ensure timelines and deadlines are met. Oversee legal staff and docketing group work.
