My PhD work is about the discovery of the existence of polaritons (quantum particles) in an artificial material called Metal-Organic Framework (MOF) thereby introducing a new family of materials (MOFs) to the scientific community for the applications in the field of strong light-matter coupling. Further, one of my recent publications reports observation of Bose-Einstein condensation of the polaritons in a MOF crystal for the first time!I have over five years of experience in the field of experimental polariton physics and nonlinear optics. I have gained extensive hands-on experience on various femtosecond lasers, multi-photon, confocal, Raman and scanning electron microscopes. The two main homemade experimental setups which I designed and built during my PhD are: (i) two-photon microscope for ultrafast nonlinear optical measurements, and (ii) Fourier-spectral imaging configuration for studies on 'half-light half-matter' particles. I am driven by the curiosity to apply modern technology and machine learning methods for discoveries in the field of material science, and I am looking forward to working in similar industries or research labs.
