With over 18 years of experience in design, development, and production within the fashion and textile industry, my career journey from Turkey to the UK has been defined by a progressive shift towards sustainability. Alongside this, I’ve cultivated an extensive network of relationships with prominent brands and manufacturers. Currently, my primary focus is on championing a responsible and environmentally conscious approach to textile manufacturing. My strong dedication to sustainability has led me to focus on finding ethically responsible and fully certified factories in Turkey. This dedicated effort is aimed at producing garments that meet high ethical standards and adhere to circular fashion principles. To achieve these goals, I’ve incorporated eco-friendly technologies and innovative methods into the production processes for the brands I work with. This approach reflects my commitment to promoting responsible and eco-friendly practices in the fashion and textile industry. In addition to promoting sustainable materials and manufacturing, I actively advocate for circular fashion practices, emphasizing durability and exploring recycling and upcycling options. My involvement with GCL International, including my role on the impartiality committee, demonstrates a commitment to monitoring and promoting sustainable practices in the textile industry. In July 2018, I had the privilege of being invited by Greenwich School of Management as a Guest Speaker, representing the fashion-forward industry. It was a rewarding opportunity to share my wealth of experience and knowledge with the students during their career day.
