A position centred around interacting with secondary students; allowing them to experience a brief introduction to University life from a first-hand student perspective. Some critical responsibilities of the role include:- Leading and managing groups of secondary school students- Delivery of STEM content and workshops to students that build on existing knowledge- Furthering student interest in STEM- Engaging in campus tours, student panels and assist in study enquiries.- Provide an understanding of study options and study life at University.Further responsibilities involved the organising and running of larger events such as Open Days, Career Fairs and other private STEM themed events. Occasional responsibilities such as redesigning, updating or creating new workshops and events, as well as working with university staff to organise and run these events were required. This role has helped me further refine my interpersonal and leadership skills as most workshops and events involve independent work with large groups of students. Additionally, this role has helped me build other critical skills such as adapting to challenge quickly and other technical engineering skills such as programming and workshop design.

Responsibilities of this role include: - Preparing and delivering teaching material- Leading and demonstrating practical learning sessions- Guiding and assisting university students with technical questions- Grading assessments and delivering constructive feedbackThis role has helped me refine my teaching and leadership ability, whilst also solidifying my foundational interpersonal skills. It has also encouraged my critical thinking and problem solving skills as students require help with various technical aspects of their workshops. A deeper technical understanding of electronics is required to demonstrate and this role has allowed me to attain that level of learning.

My tutoring service aims to provide students with a holistic and strong foundational grasp on themselves, their learning and personal study habits. With a wide range of students and settings, every lesson brings its own challenges and complexity. This position is the starting point of my interpersonal growth and learning - working with kids can be challenging, but extremely informative and revealing to oneself. With this being an entrepreneurial effort, I am able to grow and mould this service to ensure that any students that come across it are given the help and attention that they require. The internship involved the following: - Developed a Python GUI CAN tool capable of reading a CAN bus via PCAN, parsing DBC files, auto generating selectable CAN signals for decoding, plotting, and logging.- Acquired proficiency in Linux operating system through hands-on experience and self-directed learning.- Learnt how to use a Git version control system, regularly utilising Linux terminal commands for committing, pushing, and managing repositories.

Some critical responsibilities of the role include:- Answering phone calls, emails, and inquiries from patients.- Collecting payments for services and handling billing inquiries.- Handling incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and other administrative tasks.- Maintaining patient records and ensuring confidentiality and accuracy of information.- Managing the front desk and ensuring it is organized and presentable.Due to the fast paced nature of the role, skills such as efficiency, initiative and organisation were highly valued and developed quickly. This role allowed me to further my critical thinking and observation skills as client issues required quick and swift resolution. A deep understanding of the Australian medical system in relation to various role such as physiotherapy, exercise physiology and remedial massage therapy was required. While this role calls for several skills, other critical skills involved strong communication and proficiency in the Microsoft 365 suite in order to keep the practice running efficiently.
