I had the privilege to serve in the 82nd Airborne Division where I learned leadership, teamwork, and computer networking skills. While in the 82nd, I spent my time as a Tactical Satellite Communications Operator and Maintainer, non-commissioned officer, company armorer, and paratrooper. I lead up to 16 soldiers to complete our platoon's various communications missions where we provided phone and internet services (classified and non-classified) to hundreds of users. I was accountable for upwards of 2 million dollars of military equipment. The most challenging obstacle I endured was my year long deployment, Operation Enduring Freedom 2011 - 2012. I Spent my deployment In Kandahar Afghanistan providing communications services to the southern region of Afghanistan. It was a great opportunity to learn, but It was difficult being away from my family for so long.I separated from the military August of 2014 and immediately started my academic career. I started my academics at pima community college, where I then transfered to the University of Arizona, and eventually was enrolled at Eller College of Management, where I am currently working towards my Business Management degree. In 2015 while I was still attending Pima, I started to work for Capital Connect. I am currently an alarm system technician and maintainer. I work with both small business owners and homeowners to protect their assets, and themselves. I spend my free time exercising, attending the Eller Professional Sales Club, reading, and being around my friends and family. My health, friends, and family are what keeps me moving forward.
