Working for Prevalent via the BICA contract exposed me to the realities of being part of a company that's a global leader in its field. I was given the freedom to explore & apply test automation options for new applications and also apply the tools selected by the managers in place. I successfully applied both, while manually testing legacy applications. Further enhancing my automation skills for React & angular web apps in the new business niche of investment banking.

Working on a strictly regulated fixed budget government project, creating Master and Level Test Plans from scratch, I had to adapt to new tech on the fly. Created a fully backend plan in SOAP UI, frontend automation for angular.js & React all the while improving my reading and speaking comprehension of German. I enjoyed every bit of it and did the tough grind of applying multiple standards on a project and creating strict documentation for it while testing.

Building on my previous work, I created all processes and reporting in the QA group of the company, selected and trained two other QAs to join and help me in my testing efforts. I coordinated the team and fully handed over all procedures and tasks for maintaining the physical lab, websites and networks. I introduced the new team members to the regular testing & reporting as part of a scrum team, the ISTQB vocabulary and the best QA practices.

As I was promoted to the position of Junior QA, I became the first official R&D member in the Sofia office, with all other R&D members remaining in London. I continued working even closer with the developers, as I created, maintained and ran test cases for the entire company product range. I was able to get into the nitty-gritty details of creating your own test environment, network, supporting and connecting multiple devices and configuring cloud services. I became an official part of two Agile Scrum teams and I got my proper introduction to modern SDLC. Working in sprints, I honed my ability to self-organize, manage my time and work under pressure and tight deadlines.Key tech: TFS, SQL, Azure, Fiddler

Training both our users and our new staff on the full range of our software and supported hardware was a challenge that made me appreciate how both trainer and trainee grow together in the process. I was able to further build on my soft skills from my previous position and I quickly became a true source of information for all departments inside the company.The daily technical challenges progressed alongside my growing experience in training and communications. My workday started to naturally include more and more debugging and testing of both cloud services, web, desktop, mobile apps, online payments and hardware alike. This wide range gave me excellent experience and a holistic view of our product ecosystem.
