Throughout my time in college, I transitioned from a computer science major, to a MIS major, to a double concentration in MIS and Business Analytics. I found I thoroughly enjoy learning from data - discovering and understanding patterns through visualizations and interpretation. I've been fortunate to gain several useful skills for machine learning, data manipulation, and data modeling such as: extensive use of Python's Pandas library, a thorough understanding of SQL queries, and a groundwork in R and Tableau. I've built several predictive models with Python using the SciKit learn library including linear and logistic regression, kNN, Naive Bayes, Trees, and Neural Networks. On top of this, I have experience with SAP S/4 HANA and an advanced proficiency in Excel. I found myself in a position to help my fellow classmates understand the concepts and practical applications of such machine learning methods, so I became a tutor for the College of Business at Sacramento State. Here, I was able to greatly improve my ability to explain complex topics in simple, understandable terms, sharing knowledge and helping others on their path to a degree. Outside of my education, I’ve accumulated over 4 years of experience with customer service through retail selling and customer service expertise. My organizational and problem-solving skills developed with my bookkeeping experience and its opportunities for troubleshooting solutions. I’m prepared to adapt to new changes, methods, and technologies given the chance. I chase any opportunity to learn something new and become better equipped for tomorrow’s problems.
