My greatest professional strength is a huge breadth of knowledge in a variety of fields. I began as an outreach and training intern at a crisis line, when I moved to Eugene for school I continued in this field as a communications intern for the Office of Emergency Management. Eventually, I found my way to the University of Oregon Science Stores, where I began as a student worker and later became the general manager. All the while, I worked as an undergraduate researcher in a chemistry lab and continued my education in chemistry and ecology. I've been fortunate to develop a huge set of skills - I've become experienced with everything from the principals of procurement and budgetary management in a University setting to nuclear magnetic spectroscopy and complex chemical analytics. My strongest skills are the ability to rapidly learn and a desire to constantly improve - my goal has always been to leave a position with a better foundation for my successor and a stronger skillset for myself.
