Hurd Health Group is a start-up biomedical engineering company specializing in the development of cardiovascular technologies. The company is currently working with Iowa State University to receive a National Institutes of Health STTR grant to continue the research and development of a novel ventricular assist device. The device was invented by Dillon Hurd an undergraduate student in biomedical engineering.

Developed the idea for a business, doing everything from creating a business plan to getting a loan, to ordering the equipment, to calling potential customers to make appointments.
