I am a dedicated advocate for environmental justice, climate action, and food sovereignty. My work bridges the gap between ancestral knowledge and contemporary solutions to climate resilience, food justice, and collective liberation. Grounded in the traditions of my Afro-descendant heritage, I strive to uplift our communities through sustainable solutions that honor our relationship with the land and reclaim our right to self-determination.Currently, I serve as the Workforce Partnerships Manager at the Redwood Coast Chamber Foundation, where I lead the Modern Youth Internship Academies (MYIA), creating equitable career development opportunities for BIPOC youth. I also serve as Founder and Director of Operations for Black To Our Roots, a non-profit dedicated to integrating Afro-descendant cultural practices with climate resilience and food sovereignty.Through my Master’s program in Environment and Community advocacy at Cal Poly Humboldt, I am publishing a grant book titled Black To The Kitchen: A Genealogical Cookbook, that explores the rich history of Afro-descendant culinary traditions, connecting them to broader movements for food sovereignty, climate resilience, and cultural preservation.I am passionate about building coalitions, fostering collective governance, and advancing equitable change for our communities. Feel more than welcome to reach out if you’re interested in environmental justice, food sovereignty, or community organizing rooted in Traditional Ecological Knowledges. Peace and Solidarity.
