As a graduate research assistant at South Dakota State University, I am passionate about applying my skills in biopython and bioinformatics to study cyanobacteria genomics in Dr. Zhou's lab. I have over four years of research experience, including 10 weeks as an REU intern at the LUX Zeplin Collaboration Dark Matter Experiment at Sanford Underground Research Facility.I also hold a master's degree in biological sciences and a bachelor's degree in native American law from Oglala Lakota College. I am motivated by the mission of advancing scientific knowledge and promoting cultural diversity in STEM fields. I bring a unique perspective and a collaborative spirit to my work, and I am always eager to learn new techniques and methods.
