Coordinated regional program implementation and supported US Mission to the European Union on commercial diplomacy and trade policy matters. Served as U.S. Ambassador's direct advisor on trade and investment concerns in Sweden. Represented U.S. Embassy on Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Sweden.

Managed team of 70 Commercial Specialists across 7 offices in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, and Ahmedabad. Supported US-India cabinet-level Strategic & Commercial Dialogue and led US Embassy's Smart City program. Directly advised U.S. Ambassador on trade, investment, and commercial diplomacy issues in support of greater U.S. business engagements in India.

Directly supervised 20 professional staff and three American diplomats to advance U.S. Embassy commercial programs across sectors. Relied heavily on Spanish language skills to accomplish mission objective. Proposed and established a new Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee at the Embassy, showcasing the role of US companies as good corporate citizens in Mexico. Initiated CSR engagements with the American Chamber of Commerce to support local community development projects, including the Home for Children with Cancer in Xochimilco. Negotiated a targeted agenda with Foreign Ministry counterparts to launch the first US-Mexico Private Sector Stakeholder Dialogue (PSSD). The dialogue provided a forum for addressing non-tariff trade barriers across sectors and became a cornerstone of our bilateral development and economic relationship.

Advised U.S. Ambassador on trade policy promotion with a focus on green tech, sustainable energy, and smart cities. Represented the Embassy on the Board of Directors for the American Chamber of Commerce and the American Club of Lisbon. Managed six local Commercial Specialists and an annual budget of over $3 million. Served as lead negotiator for bilateral MOU between U.S. Department of Energy and Portuguese Energy Ministry to promote partnerships in renewable power. Conceptualized innovative “Access Africa” framework to help US businesses enter Lusofone African markets by partnering with Portuguese companies. Launched the program with ecutive forum in Lisbon, securing national media coverage and VIP speakers including Minister of Economy, six Ambassadors, and executives from World Bank and the African Development Bank.

Represented US Embassy trade facilitation and investment promotion priorities as Board Member of AmCham Portugal. Supported the Chamber's mission to advocate for unrestricted trade and investment between the United States and Portugal, and to promote a healthy, open and productive business climate between the two countries.

Promoted enhanced U.S.-Russian business ties in support of economic national security and U.S. job creation. Advised US Ambassador on policy priorities, business advocacy strategy, and commercial diplomacy. Represented US Embassy on Advisory Board of Junior Achievement Russia. Led trade delegations to St. Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod, generating $1.5 million in new business for U.S. construction, telecom, and retail companies. Also led multiple executive-level Russian delegations to the US facilitating seminars, Governor meetings, and hospitality events to promote trade and investment.

Supervised team of eight Commercial Specialists and annual budgets totaling $2.3 million to advance U.S. Embassy’s bilateral trade and investment promotion agenda. Conceptualized, created and launched first-of-its-kind program to vet and bundle qualified Nigerian buyers for expedited EXIM Bank loan guarantee approvals, generating risk-free trade leads in a high-risk market for U.S. small and medium sized enterprises. Negotiated and formalized the program through an MOU signed by the U.S. Commerce Department and a consortium of Nigerian banks. Successfully piloted half a dozen transactions totaling over $20 million in U.S. exports using the new facility. Counseled CEOs and executives from over 600 U.S. and Nigerian firms each year on complex topics ranging from trade finance and commercial advocacy to forging strategic alliances..

Oversaw USAID South Africa’s Environmental Program and other Strategic Objective teams, ensuring project grants and program activities achieved stated objectives within resource constraints. Developed comprehensive emergency aid package for Mozambique following historic floods of 2000.

Managed 15 federal environmental grants for water quality and watershed protection/restoration projects awarded under the Clean Water Act to 12 Indian tribes in Arizona and California, totaling over $2 million.

Appraised, designed, implemented, managed, and evaluated over 23 initiatives in watershed management, soil erosion, soil fertility improvement, reforestation, and environmental education in five rural villages across Northwest Cameroon.
