I am an Interior Designer with professional experience in Institutional and Commercial projects. Through an accredited program at Virginia Tech, I have gained rigorous experience working in professional practices in a workplace studio environment. I have an innate ability to grasp new concepts quickly with a strong attention to detail. I am looking for an opportunity to engage in a creative design team, to contribute design ideas and concepts, and to grow further in my design, technical, and sustainability skills.In my Virginia Tech studio class, I have opportunities to design for many diverse project types: office, restaurant, retail, healthcare, and education. I have experience with Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), AutoCAD, and MS Office. My professional career included designing multiple project types, selecting finishes, and communicating with manufacturers. Through all of these various projects, I have gained valuable experience with research techniques and conceptual design skills. I appreciate the details that enrich the design process, but I also enjoy stepping back to explore the overarching ideas that drive a project. I manage my time responsibly, listen to the client’s needs, and meet project deadlines. I enjoy working as part of a team and learning about design. With a passion for the human connection to space and an interest in solving design challenges, I am looking for an experience that sparks ingenuity and encourages leadership.
