Our work included:Research: - Working with the Res4Med team and NGOs to create a hypothetical village which incorporates criteria from multiple different typical villages, upon which our feasibility study could be counducted- Working with a large energy supplier to analyse the impact that the energy supply could have on the village's economy in the future.- Developing other methods through which the demand for energy in the village can be simulated through economic development, therein creating shared value for both the energy provider and for the village.- Considering the idiosyncrasies of each geographic area, and how culture, climate and abundance of natural resources will affect the feasibility of a RES powered village economy.Liaisons:Communication with partners like NGOs involved in Africa, Bocconi University, the energy supplier, the Res4Med team and other interested parties.Project Development:Building upon the work done by other student teams in the part, and ensuring that the work we did could be used by other teams in the future to realise the sustainable development of renewable energy in rural villages in Eastern Africa.
