A secret of mine is that initially, I was denied to every single university I applied to. You really don't know what sadness is until you see those tears running down your Mother's face after you open that last letter of acceptance just to find out that you've been denied. Mom started to lose hope, my friends looked down on me, and I was laughed at because they said they knew I'd never make it. I was hurt, knocked down, and kicked when I was down, but that didn't ever stop me from getting back up. I knew this wasn't my destined future and I knew I had a place waiting for me in higher education. I spent 6 weeks putting my blood, sweat, and tears writing a letter of appeal and gathered 4 letters of recommendation. I'd like to say that when things go wrong in life that everything will always be okay, but the reality of it is nothing will change unless you do something to MAKE that change.Hi, my name is Dillon Duong, and I am a graduate from the University of St. Thomas.———————————————————————Ask me your questions, I'm all ears.
