Dillon plays a lead role in the CIB Technology data strategy. He is working to consolidate the CIB analytics capabilities into a single, group aligned, ecosystem that spans both AWS and Azure. There is also work being done to ensure that regions who cannot move to cloud do not get left behind. Dillon also manages the team that is responsible for building the ecosystem and is currently working to optimize our data delivery teams.

Dillon took a step back into development to gain some practical data engineering experience in a Data Science context. The key piece of work was a product that generated investment banking leads off a stream of news articles sourced from Dow Jones.Dillon stretched into leading the initial thoughts around leveraging data mesh to modernize the CIB Data Strategy, which eventually lead to him driving the CIB objectives in the groups revamped information reference architecture.

Played a technical lead role and drove the data architecture for CIB Risk that encompasses all data platform requirements emanating from within CIB Risk leveraging data from murex, calypso, and adaptive to deliver to both credit and market risk regulatory and reporting requirements. Key highlight was the ability to release, with full governance and testing, multiple times per day into the data warehouse. This was achieved with Github, RedGate, and Octopus deploy.Dillon received a 2017 Mark of Excellence award.

Dillon worked on a Business Intelligence project at Standard Bank that aims to move the Market Risk reporting into a self-service environment. Through a centralized warehouse that feeds into an SSAS cube as well as SSRS reports the solution provides PnL, VaR, Budgeting, Limits, Backtesting, Sensitivities and Product information to the Market Risk analysts in both South Africa and the Africa Regions.While on the contract Dillon also spent 18 months on the Africa Regions reporting system doing enhancements and maintenance which resulted in 160+ man-hour savings per month.

Dillon was the open's coach for both boys and girls.His responsibilities included developing the club season training plans, providing technical knowledge to the club including rowing technique, boat rigging, boat repair and maintenance, talent identification and crew selection.

2014 South African Schools Rowing Development boys and girls sculling coach. The team toured to Ghent, Belgium, and did fairly well.

Dillon, working in conjunction with the BI development team, is an ETL developer on the SQL 2012 BI platform at Hollard.

Dillon is responsible for maintaining and any enhancements to the SAICA BI Platform. This includes new ETL development, performance tuning, and report creation.

Dillon is responsible for developing a data warehouse that combined data from multiple communication sources into a single reporting environment. The front-end includes an OLAP cube, SSRS as well as some data mining models.

Dillon was the manager of a 6-person team that maintained the CRM and BI environments within ICAS South Africa. This included the development and maintenance of relevant data warehouses, development and maintenance of SSAS and SSRS environments as well as enhancement of business process division and mechanisms.

The role required Dillon to design, build and maintain an external and internal client facing BI solution. The solution is built on top of Microsoft CRM which has replaced the original proprietary system, however there is a need to be able to report over all time between the two systems. With the expansion of the AXA Group into Asia, the project is being developed with redeployment and reconfiguration in mind.The BI solution will be accessed by the following front-end tools; ProClarity, SSRS, Insight Track and a custom developed offline dashboard tool based on the CORDA charting API.

Under the guidance of the head coach/s Dillon is required to develop athletes with disabilities. Focus will be placed specifically on the Arms and Shoulders, and Trunks and Arms divisions with the aim of qualifying a boat in each division at the London 2012 Olympics. Dillon is also responsible for the development of safety protocols as well as the development of a 'sculling test' that needs to be passed by all persons wishing to partake in the sport.

Dillon's role within Harvey Jones, An Avisen PLC Company, was to provide his clients with Best Practice BI Solutions on the Microsoft Platform as well as to provide internal support to other consultants as required. This role required that he be proficient in the following areas; - Dimensional Modelling - Project Management - Data Warehouse Design - ETL Design - ETL DevelopmentInternally, he was also a team lead which means that he performs most HR functions for the team members that are under his lead. These functions include; - Performance Reviews - Conflict Management - Workskills planningWhen required, Dillon was able deliver training on SQL Server Analysis Services 2005 or 2008.Finally, Dillon was also responsible for supporting the network administrator should a catastrophe occur or in the day to day operations of the network should the administrator be unavailable.
