Currently a Software Developer at Exact One Limited (Exacta). Exacta develops payment and control systems for the car washing industry.The Software Development diploma has given me the ability to create sophisticated software applications using today’s modern programming tools and languages. Languages such as Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PL/SQL, and others. Tools such as NetBeans, Eclipse, Version Control, SQLdeveloper, VirtualBox, Ideas Modeler, and more. I have the ability to create multilevel applications involving MySQL or Oracle databases, hardware integration, multi-threading, front-end user interfaces, and today’s tough security standards. Most importantly, the ability to take on a leadership role in a team environment.The Software Development capstone project involved the creation of an information management system for Exacta. This web-based enterprise application was a server-client architecture using MySQL, JEE, JavaScript, BootStrap, security encryption, web hosting services, and other tools and languages. The project involved a team of six people, including myself, where responsibilities were divided up. In the end, the project was a success. The Network Systems diploma gave me the ability to understand in detail the inner workings of wide area and local area networks. I have experience with Cisco IOS and equipment, both Linux and Windows operating systems, server implementation, and knowledge of computer hardware. I have experience with large wireless network implementations and security configurations.
