I work on a software development team building out systems for Optum Bank. The applications I've worked on include: money-movement processes, loan/credit data storage, and HSA account management applications. The user stories I work on usually center around the flow of data (APIs and databases) but I also work with business users to refine the UI experience for their applications.As a Business Systems Analyst, my AGILE responsibilities include: requirements gathering and refinement, writing user stories, sprint planning and task estimation, project management, UAT testing, writing support documentation, new feature demonstrations, and production deployments. In November 2023, I became SAFe POPM certified. In addition, other regular duties include: creating new file transmissions, production support, vendor partnership, and integrating new corporate assets.

I was the lead Business Analyst for the Bank's electronic payment SaaS applications (Zelle, Account-to-Account, and Bill Pay), while also providing day-to-day support for ACH processes (PEP+). My favorite part of my of this role was the number of hats I wore. I handled operational support, process improvement, and disaster recovery efforts related to these applications. Each day, I had the opportunity to provide excellent service to our client's and vendor's technical teams, in addition to our business users within the Bank. BOKF utilizes active/passive disaster recovery methods and I created, updated, and held numerous roles on all our team's application plans. I was the lead payments BA for the Bank's Zelle implementation project and post-project support efforts. I have experience onboarding new applications (both SaaS and web applications) into a complex IT ecosystem and enjoy finding ways to streamline operations by creating and managing Automic Workload Automation (AWA) tasks for a variety of uses.

I worked on a team that was responsible for the support, process improvement, and disaster recovery duties for our A2A, Bill Pay, and ACH (PEP+) applications. Here are some accomplishments from my time in this role:- Acted as lead payments BA for the Zelle implementation project. Duties for this project included: gathering database requirements and mapping data fields, gathering process requirements from 5 groups, and coordinating database and transmission job implementations. - Integrated the Verifications web application into BOKF’s environment.- Won the 2022 “People’s Choice” award by company-wide vote in BOKF’s annual Guide the Giving volunteer competition. I campaigned for Reading Partners and the organization received a donation.

I worked on a team that was responsible for the support, process improvement, and disaster recovery duties for our ACH application (PEP+). Here are some accomplishments from my time in this role:- Ensured 100% data accuracy and 99.9% uptime for the Bank’s Automated Clearing House (ACH) application. BOKF is a top 50 ACH Originator and processed over $326 billion in 2020.- Prepped 1,500 new clients and coordinated 2 custom client setups during the bank’s CoBiz acquisition.- Overhauled the team’s documentation system and resource depository.- Assisted upper management form strategy by creating a monthly report highlighting trends in the electronic payment industry, internal metrics, and internal accomplishments across BOK’s Payments Center of Excellence.

During this year-long program, I rotated through 12 roles across the IT department to gain a comprehensive understanding of IT operations at BOKF. I completed numerous professional development workshops and emotional intelligence tests to recognize my weaknesses and how to best interreact with coworkers. Other opportunities during my time in the program include: mentoring summer interns, recruiting and interviewing at my alma mater, and improving my relationship building skills through the sheer number of new people I met.

I officiated grade-school basketball for various leagues in the Tulsa area. Here are some lessons I learned:- Quick decisions require quick explanations- You can communicate a lot without using any words- Confidence can cover up incompetence, to a point- You haven’t seen it all- Performance evaluation is about perspective, all should be considered- Everyone thinks they know what they’re talking about, it’s up to you to make sure you actually do- If you aren’t on the same page with your teammate, you both look foolish- Don’t assume you were fouled, often times we tripped over our own feet

My main duty was aiding/shadowing the Mortgage team during their transition from the FiServ Loan system to MSP’s Black Knight platform. Some of my responsibilities related to this effort included: gap analysis, data mapping, and interface analysis to ensure all comprehensive loan data was received. In addition to my day-to-day duties, I worked with four other interns across BOKF’s regional footprint to develop a white paper and presentation recommending Big Data practices the Bank could adopt. Our pitch beat out three others to win the Battle of the Interns competition.

I performed market research, advertising analysis, and ran patent searches for inventors and manufacturing companies in Oklahoma. My professional communication skills were sharpened by meeting with clients looking to customize their projects. In addition, I wrote part of the company's proposal for the grant-funded portion of their services.
