My current responsibilities include:• Propose/contribute design concepts.• Research and specify components.• Vendor contact for job specific components.• Identify critical path items in the schedule and advance release per the production schedule.• Coordinate with engineering groups to provide customer's required drawings and documentation within thepromised and/or agreed contract schedule as defined in the transmittal system and orderbook.• Perform basic Design Engineering functions including necessary material selection, stress and straincalculations, tolerance studies, thermal activity calculations, weight and CG calculations.• Cost reduction of key components.• Establish specification procedures and standards.• Maintain schedule and budget of assigned projects.• Disposition ofNCR's/inspection reports.• Project administration when required.• Provide detailed purchase specifications for major components such as drivers, coolers, pumps, couplings, blowoff valves/silencers, inlet valves, inlet filters, flow meters, expansion joint, process isolation valves, separatorsand sound insulation.• Create Engineering bills of material and manufacturing drawings for each assigned project.• Maintain accurate and well organized design records of each project.• Create and document engineering calculations for sizing package components.• Work with development teams to ensure new products are ready for release to production package engineering.• Establish communication with key vendors or purchasing to ensure certified drawings of major components arereceived.• Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of drawings and bills of material on assigned projects.• To comply with Safety Rules, Regulations and OSHA Requirements
