In this role I am working as an external consultant for Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. Our team is focused on reaching sustainability goals set by DFW, specifically by eliminating waste created by food packaging within the terminals.

In this role I worked on data projects as needed using analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and Python. Each summer the Neeley Analytics Initiative runs an analytics summer camp for high school students from across the country. I review the applications and run analysis on them as a whole to recommend changes in the application process and advertising.

After 3 months as a team member I was promoted to a shift lead in August of 2022 at Mamaka Bowls. The biggest change in this was the increase in responsibility. As a shift lead, I was completely responsible for the store when management was out. Some specific tasks included inventory checks, handling cashbooks, resolving customer issues, and most importantly, being the team lead for the four or more team members also working at the time. Perhaps what I have taken from this most is the courage to praise and constructively critique to other team members. It can be natural to feel awkward about verbalizing thoughts on others, but as a group leader, it is important to let others know what they do well and what they do not. I feel that this opportunity has greatly enabled by ability and comfortability to lead or work within a team.

I was fortunate to have the opportunity to work for Congresswoman Kay Granger who represents the residents of Texas' District 12. As an intern I had day-to-day activities such as talking phone calls and relaying messages; filtering through mail including event invitations, donation requests, and additional messages; and opening federal casework to assist caseworkers by expediting the process of beginning cases.In addition to the daily tasks I took on special events as needed. Some examples of special tasks I worked on were the processing of visas for Afghani refugees in August 2021, hosting interviews for Congressional Service Academy Nominees, and outreaching to local public schools on behalf of the Congressional Art Competition.

As Vice President of Beta Upsilon Chi, it was my responsibility to plan and execute social events for the 2021 calendar year. In addition to simply planning events, due to the then state of COVID-19, we had to work closely with school officials to follow safety guidelines. During this time we were able to execute 5 social events for more than 40 active members, and partnered with 2 other organizations.
