Lead Food Security Analyst in Syria. Specifically, my tasks include:Managing a team of six data clerks from WFP and eight data clerks from Syrian Arab Red Crescent(SARC) for the Vulnerability Needs Review (VNR) data quality management.VAM Food Security, Vulnerability and Market Analyst during L3 (emergency) phase across Syria providing required support.Act as OIC of the Unit during the absence of the Head of VAM in Syria.Leading member in developing WFP's VulnerabilityNeeds Review VNR (targeting) 2020 exercise for assessing the needs of around 7 million Syrians. This includes leading the WFP IT team in developing and implementing an integrated standardized system fordata collection, assurance, quality management, protection, auditing, encryption and analysis. This includes four different platforms that link WFP, SARC, Cooperating Partners (CPs) and TPMs via secure data transaction channels. Ensuring a live anonymous centralized database, synchronized and integrated with SARC and CPs servers for all beneficiaries.Capturing any duplication, ghost entries or unverified updates on household profiles.Leading member in designing, analyzing and monitoring The Minimum Expenditure Basket (MEB)for Syria in coordination with WFP HQ.Leading member in analyzing and developing vulnerability criteria and eligibility score from previous food security assessments FSA to identify WFP potential beneficiaries for the VNR 2020 exercise.Conducting Cash-Based Transfer CBT Impact and Feasibility Assessments.Contributing towards analyzing data and writing reports for thematic studies such as The UN Inter-Agency Socio-Economic Impacts of the COVID-19 Pandemic in Syria.Conducting Food Security Assessments (FSA) across Syria (2017 - 2022). Lead support staff in analyzing food security in Syria. Specifically, my tasks include:VAM Food Security and Market Analyst during L3(emergency) phase across Syria providing required support.Conducting Food Security Assessments (FSA) across Syria in 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019. In particular, in charge of designing representative statistical sampling, trainings and data analysis including presenting findings through factsheets/dashboards besides participating in FSA 2015and 2018 report drafting and developing targeting criteria for beneficiary selection. Lead Market Analyst, supported the WFP Syria Market Assessments 2018/19. Specifically, in developing questionnaires on tablets using Open Data Kit (ODK)tool, contributing towards data collection, analysis, mapping, visualization and report writing.Active member of the Humanitarian Needs Overview (HNO) an Inter-Agency framework to review vulnerability and needs across Syria. Developing a Food Security and Vulnerability methodology for updating HNO & MYR 2018/19 People In Need (PIN)figures, presenting findings and developing food security methodologies.Active member (focal person) in HQ-RBC-CO team for implementing mVAM in Syria. In particular, developing the concept note, designing the questionnaire, drafting bulletins, training operators, reviewing mVAM strategy in Syria and establishing the key informant network for besieged areas.Drafting and releasing 42 market price bulletins including data analysis and report/bulletin writing from Jul 2015 to Feb 2019.Conducted 20 Rapid Emergency Needs Assessments across Syria and wrote the reports for Rapid Assessments to Deir-ez-Zor, Ar-Raqqa, and besieged locations of Eastern Ghouta in Rural Damascus.Took part in the convoys to besieged and hard-to-reach areas to conduct Rapid Food Security and Market Assessments over two years.Spatial Data Infrastructure SDI ArcGIS Mapping and Remote Sensing Syria country office focal point.
