I am an evolutionary biologist, bioinformatician and zoologist. Mostly, I work with next-generation sequencing output employing high-performance computing in a framework of various in silico experiments e.g. genome assembly (both de-novo and map-to-reference approaches), gene prediction, genome annotation, differential gene expression analyses and genome wide association studies. I have solid wet lab skills including DNA/RNA extraction, NGS library preparation, sequencing, gel electrophoresis and HPLC-mass spectrometry. Recently I started to work in Dynex Czech Republic as a NGS application specialist with main focus on massive parallel short-read sequencing.
