Extracting insights from new datasets to build models that would allow Pagaya to enter new markets and optimize existing models.

Worked on various projects as resident specialist in Extreme Value Analysis and model integration between deterministic and statistical models. Also held domain expertise in wind field prediction and analysis.

Worked in the field of extreme event analysis and prediction, as well as general statistics of climatological data. Mostly working with MATLAB and Python. My main project is the updating of Israeli Standard 414, which deals with construction safety standards as it relates to extreme weather phenomena.

I was the head climatologist in the team that designed and implemented the Israeli Wind Energy Potential Atlas. The atlas is based on statistical models, dynamic atmospheric models, and simplified linearized flow models, and provides hundreds of data fields in super-high spacial resolution (100m) over all of Israel. I served as a marine meteorologist in the Israeli Navy for 3 years of compulsory and 3 additional years of permanent service.
