My primary work is clinical natural language processing. I developed KAID's pipeline to extract structured information from clinical notes: deep learning models for identifying entities and relating them together; system to determine whether entities are present, negated, part of family history, or otherwise attributed; and tool for linking entities to medical codes. I also work with partners to find insights in the NLP output, as well as to create custom models.
