As a student at Southern Utah University I have gained a network within higher education. I started out as a Presidential Ambassador at SUU and I have maintained that position for 4 years. In that position I learned about the aspects of marketing and advertising. In this case it was towards high school students and parents. I was elected to be on the executive council 2 years in to the Presidential Ambassador program to be over Financial Aid and Scholarship Education. This was a program I started building along with my advisor. The mission was to increase outreach and financial help to prospective students across the nation. Through this position I learned project management, team management, customer service and public speaking.

  As an Intern in Financial Aid Advising I learned valuable customer service skills. I had to learn how to take complex information and make it easy to understand for large audiences. I assisted in implementing the prospective student outreach specifically to help with financial aid. This included a new texting and calling program. I took it upon myself to enhance this program even more by working on efficiency and professionalism of our different ways of outreach.
