With a foundation in Linguistics and Literature from the Universidade de Brasília (Brazil), Dimitria holds a Master's degree in Global Affairs at the prestigious Schwarzman Scholars program, at Tsinghua University (China).Specializing in strategic communication and linguistic rights, Dimitria has conducted research within international organizations, including BRICS, Mercosur, and the European Union, and sociolinguistics, and indigenous languages (Apyãwa and Guajá). Being passionate about the phenomenon of language, Dimitria sought to integrate her academic experiences with her professional journey. To this end, she worked in the communication department of the Editorial Board of the Library of the Federal Senate of Brazil. By understanding the importance of communication for international affairs, she later interned at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), providing executive and communications assistance to the director of the Office in Brazil. Intending to facilitate cross-cultural communication between enterprises and organizations around the world, she worked as a project coordinator at TransPerfect, a multinational localization company. Dimitria also worked at UNDP Brazil before moving to China. Dimitria believes that communication plays a pivotal role in international relations and the functioning of international organizations, serving as a basis for effective diplomacy, cooperation, diversity, and conflict resolution on the global scene.Dimitria is dedicated to practical impact through effective communication strategies and advocating for linguistic rights. She also advocates for women's rights, having founded Soror, an initiative to combat gender-based violence in Brazil.Dimitria enjoys writing, reading Russian Literature, and hiking.
