CurrentProvided regulatory direction serving as Vice President of Licensing for X Energy an advance Gen IV high temperature gas reactor. Developed licensing strategy and schedule/cost. Worked with engineering staff to integrate regulatory requirements with design development. Provided leadership in design change control, commercial issues, business strategies and developed the risk management program for nuclear power and fuel manufacturing plants. Provided engineering support to NRIC by performing evaluations of technical approaches and design reviews for modification or repurposing of two existing facilities at Idaho National Lab (INL) as test beds for advanced reactors. Reviewed technical requirements, proposed modifications, developed lower risk modifications, and strategy for programmatic approach.Provided independent oversight to mitigate project risks and improve contractor performance and client engagement in oversight for the Waste Treatment Plant (WTP) project in Hanford, WA. Developed a comprehensive high level management oversight tool that closed the critical gap of overabundance of data stifling informed decision making in addressing priority issues for effective planning. Identified supply chain gaps and provided alternative solutions to process and procedures to mitigate delays in procurement of critical parts/components that were a major contributor in delaying construction progress.
