Leading in process development studies for projects within the Genomic Medicine Unit of Biologics Drug Product Development.

Provide support for projects involving the improvement and validation of lyophilization procedures as well as analysis of potential drug products (both liquid and lyophilized forms). Sample types are primarily large molecules including varying proteins and antibodies while also assisting in some Genomics Medicinal Unit platforms. Analyses conducted included techniques such as DSC, XRD, Karl Fisher, HPLC & UPLC SEC, and DLS.

Investigated the biophysical and chemical properties of the endocannabinoid protein system and its corresponding small molecules. This included extensive research into stable expression and purification in mammalian cells as well as analysis via biochemical assay, NMR, MS, and X-ray Crystallography.

Consultant involved in procurement and maintenance of analytical devices as well as their implementation in relevant products being invested in to be developed.

Perform several studies on novel protein formulations for understanding the stability and activity of potential vaccines both in vitro and in vivo. Sample types included work with large molecules such as antibodies, protein antigens, and RNA antigens.

Perform studies on drug therapy projects including in vitro/in vivo sustained release profile analysis, stability testing, and formulation development. Sample types included small and large molecules such as enzymes and RNA.

• Perform protein culture under standard operating procedure such as FPLC fractionation and ensure quality of culture via SDS Page• Run HPLC on compounds to be used in binding experiments for potential drug development• Utilize NMR data from binding tests for ligand assisted protein structure analysis• Exhibit leadership skills in directing other work study students to aid in lab activities

• Aid in development of a luminometer equipment project through protocol editing, microbial culture and microscopic stain analysis, reagent development, as well as equipment quality control• Perform protein culture using FPLC on bleed shipments followed by testing for viability in other projects

• Testing of various gaseous compounds from production for impurity levels present using GC analysis. Maintaining Lab notebooks and instrument calibrations.
