Teach for Australia aims to provide all children in Australia, regardless of their background with an excellent education. Through attracting high-performing individuals to the teaching profession, Teach for Australia places associates at schools that need it most for a period of 2 years, providing training and guidance to associates along the way. Associates are placed for 2 years at a secondary school and complete the program with a Masters of Teaching. As an associate placed at John Tonkin College in Mandurah, I will be teaching mathematics.

TLG aims to bridge the gap in education for disadvantaged and indigenous children in rural Western Australia so that their full potential is realised. Our vision is for every West Australian child to have equal opportunities in education, regardless of background, location or circumstance. The General Manager is responsible for the smooth operations of Teach Learn Grow's various programs including the Rural Program and RP-Link and works towards the growth and expansion of the organisation in order to achieve its vision.

Manage and oversee the recruitment and marketing process of the Rural Program at Teach Learn Grow. Heavily involved with the management and analysis of various data collected regarding the recruitment of tutors, the performance of tutored students and feedback regarding the organisation.

Manage and organise a team of volunteers to ensure the smooth operations of Teach Learn Grow's bi-annual Rural Programs.

Organised the transport of over 200 tutors to up to 13 different schools across Rural WA for Teach Learn Grow's bi-annual Rural Programs.

School Of Earth And Environment

Geophysics technician working with Dr Nader Issa on various projects at the School of Earth and Environment, mainly dealing with the maintenance and testing of various equipment acquired by the CO2 Research Facility.

School Of Physics

Recipient of the School of Physics Summer Vacation Scholarship, participating in developing a state-of-the-art optical atomic clock as part of a ground station for the Atomic Clock Ensemble in Space (ACES) mission. Supervised by Future Fellow Research Associate Professor John McFerran, the project involves control electronics, data acquisition systems, laser systems and atomic spectroscopy.
