Dimitris has significant expertise in the healthcare industry, as Deputy CEO and now as CEO at General Hospital of Elefsina “Thriassion”; a 400-bed general hospital in Attica area, with an annual budget of about €75 million and 900 employees.  During his tenure there, he has managed to improve hospital’s efficiency by  initiating and directing the implementation of a series of projects, such as the installation and operation of SAP, the restructuring of supply management process and the publication of the Hospital’s 1st Balance Sheet. "Thriassion" has successfully managed to face Covid-19 pandemic with targeted actions such as creating specialised clinic and ICU for Covid-19 treatment, personnel training, and designing and applying all required procedures to avoid contagion among patients and/or employees within the hospital.The period 2015-2020 was partner at Dioptra Ltd., a financial services firm that focuses on export-oriented Greek or Cypriot companies, and shipping. The period 2010-2015, he has worked as a senior consultant in crisis management strategic projects and financial management (shipping industry). At the same period, he has actively participated in the initiation, examination & evaluation of a number of investment opportunities in the agribusiness, healthcare, renewable energy, industrial automation and real estate sectors.He has over 6-year experience in the banking sector, having worked for HSBC and Bank of Cyprus in the areas of Investment, Corporate & Commercial Banking. Over these years, he has developed expertise on several domains including FMCG, oil and energy, healthcare, shipping, real estate, infrastructure etc.Dimitris holds an MBA from Manchester Business School and a 5-year B.A.in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.
