In contact with underwriters and insurance brokers for H&M, P&I, K&R and war risk coverage, as also for any related issue or claim may arose. Supervisor of a three people team handling vessels’ requests for bunkers, lubricants, crew and supplies. Boarding auditor for the implementation of Safety Management and Security codes as also company representative on some on/off hire and condition surveys.

Started as assistant operator, monitoring daily the performance of 7 oil product carriers, taking care of ships’ certification and arranging the necessary renewal audits and inspections, as also dealing with filing and records keeping. After 5 months promoted to Operator, where my major occupation was the cargo handling operation, as the vessels were mostly hired to lighter mother vessels at West Africa, and almost everyday there was a Ship to Ship operation in progress. There, the documentation, letter of protests, documents control and remarking, as also the cargo and damages claims were my daily occupation. In that position learned how to work excessively, under pressure, within time limits and solve serious problems and disputes from distance.

Served as Chief officer and Staff captain on several ro-pax vessels of the company.Attended the construction of a new building passenger vessel for 5 months at the shipyard, were the demand for cooperation and communication with people of different profession and skill, was a demanding challenge for me. Except of being a member of the bridge navigation team, I was the training and safety officer of the vessels with major responsibility thefamiliarization, training and safety awareness of about 60-100 crew members. Also responsible for ships’ maintenance and cargo (passengers and trucks) operations.
