My professional interests lie amongst two categories: Finance and Corporate Development.My analyst position in Investment Banking exposed me to a wide range of financial services, ranging from preparing Business Plans, to supporting IPOs and MBOs/ MBIs. It was an experience which vastly expanded my corporate capabilities and enabled me to join Deloitte’s Financial Advisory Services Department. With Deloitte, and as I gradually climbed the corporate ladder, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work with seasoned professionals, both in an internal and external manner. Given the financial turmoil in Greece, this unstable environment equipped me with adequate skills, resulting from active involvement in services which included: Financial Due Diligence projects, Independent Business Reviews as well as many Distressed Investing projects and Restructurings. Furthermore, these types of projects also gave me a commercial-like approach to my work. After much exposure, to the respective corporate finance and accounting worlds, it came to my impression that I should put my acquired skills and grit to practice to further expand my knowledge. I followed my beliefs by entering the M&A and Corporate Ventures scene by obtaining a fundamental role in establishing and developing an up-and-coming soft drinks company and continued to hold this crucial post for several years.Thus, I capitalised my experiences gained from a corporate upbringing, by setting up and leading Green Cola as a CFO and Head of Strategic Partnerships. Leading a team of 11, we rapidly expanded the network of partners from 0 to 17 countries globally, in 3 years. From business planning, to branding and marketing; from commercial finance, to international business development and partnerships, this placement had it all. My next leap in my career was to enhance my technical and in-practice gained skills with academic exposure. Thus, I embarked for an Executive MBA at London Business School. As a result, I decided to step down form my managerial role with Green Cola, while taking advantage of my flexibility, and support our family business which provides tax, accounting and consulting services. Now more than ever, I feel a well-rounded professional in the financial services sector. In the foreseeable future I see myself applying my knowledge, learnings, and skills into private equity and corporate development projects, growth funding and M&A environments, as well as distressed investing and restructuring cases.
