Collecting & recording the possessions essential data and preparing a detailed report for Route Management. Resourcing Possession Support Staff and PICOPs. Managing the administrative requirements of direct reporting staff. On-call managing duties.

Producing Safe Work Packs for the Possession Management Team

Office based position with lead responsibilities of planning, creating and issuing legally required documents (Safe Work Packs) which ensure the safety of workers/work groups involved in the railway maintenance. Checking & requesting changes to weekly operation notice, obtaining information from different railway infrastructure sources, undertaking rail track surveys and updating the company’s local database. Monitoring, registering & filing the returned safe system of work packs in paper and electronic versions.

Safety critical office or site based position with lead responsibilities of taking, managing & handing back a pre-planned or an emergency engineering closure of a railway line (or part of it) for maintenance purposes. Setting up protection for the closure or arranging support staff to do so. Allowing/denying access of engineering trains, plant & machines in or out of the closure and making sure they stay in or out of the closure limits. Liaising with all the leaders of work sites within the closure, the signallers controlling the traffic outside of it & the operations delivery managers overlooking the jobs progress.
