I am a former science teacher who used agriculture and nature as much as possible to teach the content to my students. Last May I retired from teaching in public school systems because I feel there is a better way to teach our students...through hands-on and real life experiences. I have a love of gardening, participate in search and rescue cadaver k9 handling and training, and the knowledge of horses and beef cattle. These are real life experiences that are used day to day, whether participating in these or reaping the benefits from someone else doing these things, and most of the youth of today have no knowledge of these things. Even though I retired from teaching, I am still involved as a public school bus driver for special needs students.
