Maricopa County Justice Courts And Coconino County Superior Court

I mediated civil disputes for the Maricopa County Justice Courts as a volunteer, traveling to various court locations as needed. I am currently a paid mediator through the Coconino County Mediator program, where I mediate civil and divorce cases for the Superior Court. The civil cases include debt collection, landlord/tenant, real estate contracts, neighbor and family disputes, fraud and slander.

I was brought on as PM to rescue two projects that were in serious risk of failure - Cerner SurgiNet Anesthesia and Powerchart Maternity/Fetalink. These implementations were due to go live in August and were severely behind schedule. I worked with vendors to get contracts and resources in place; finished physician engagement and training contracts; worked with stakeholders and super users to get training completed on time; started and completed construction for network and power; worked closely with Cerner (vendor) and IT systems, field services, networking, Informatics and analysts to complete the build, hardware installations, device configurations, testing, issue resolution and training. 80% of the project went live successfully on the original go-live date; remaining tasks were completed during September and October, with the project at 95% completion when I left the company. This work was done in conjunction with my role as Clinical Applications Manager.

In this role, I managed a team of remote Clinical Applications Analysts and CCL Developers. Responsible for incident management, change process and optimization of Cerner solutions, as well as ancillary clinical applications. Worked closely with internal and external partners, including Cerner AMS, to manage the change process to ensure system stability and integrity. Managed team resource allocations for projects. Participated on project teams as a resource manager and business analyst.

I was hired as PM for implementation of Cerner Clinical Reporting XR and Optum Encoder, and ICD-10 Readiness. I partnered with stakeholder groups to define project requirements, milestones and timelines. Documented project charters, business cases, project task lists, risk and decision logs. Oversaw test script development and managed unit and functional testing events. Worked closely with Cerner and project teams to implement Clinical Reporting XR. Leadership decided to scrap the Optum implementation after determining it would not meet the organization’s needs.

Oversaw the University Marketing Department PMO, implementing project management techniques to help department managers meet goals and milestones and deliver products on time. Project management tracking systems and PM best practices. Used Confluence as a document repository and managed projects within Ektron CMS.

Managed a variety of projects under the NAU ePlanning program including design, development and implementation of the online Academic Catalog, Policy Warehouse and Degree Search. The Academic Catalog was brought from static HTML to a CMS system using PeopleSoft for data management. The Degree Search tool was taken from concept to implementation; I managed all aspects of UX and development for this tool. http://catalog.nau.edu/Catalog/

In this role I led a team of 12 full-time software and hardware support staff in the IT department. Our team was responsible for supporting faculty and staff computing needs. My responsibilities included policy and budget management, project management, employee relations, and service level agreement implementation for university departments. I created and maintained department policies and acted as the department liaison for computer and development support; as a part of this I managed monthly IT-Pro and Web-Pro meetings, giving support staff across the university a venue for sharing information. As a supervisor, I was responsible for performance evaluations, goal setting and strategic planning for team and individual members; we were a great team and very successful!In my role as PM, I managed the implementation and account migration from our legacy UNIX email and stand-alone calendar to Microsoft Exchange and Outlook. We transitioned 4,000+ users to the new system. Upon completion of that project, we implemented Office Communicator and Exchange voicemail.
